SkyCity Queenstown

Following a site visit and review Airzone was asked to propose a design build solution to replace the old air-cooled chiller.

The new chiller was crane lifted in the early hours and the Airzone team had to ensure that during installation and commissioning there was minimum disruption to the SkyCity operations. As we had to keep the downtime to a minimum, a detailed programme of work was provided to all parties and agreed before any works took place.

The client also took the opportunity to upgrade the control system and building management system which included economiser functions on the air handling plant to allow free cooling as required. Also, a new hot water pump was installed to provide domestic hot water. These solutions delivers significant energy savings to the client.
